Merchant License Information

If you operate a business or manufacture within New Madrid County limits, you will require a County Merchant License.

It is $25.00 annually due December 31st and is not prorated.

Missouri Law 150.010 RSMo 1994 indicates that every person, corporation, co-partnership, or association of persons who deals in selling goods, wares and merchandise at any store, stand or place occupied for that purpose is a merchant.

Please note that you will also require a City License for every city you operate within, Please call our office if you have any questions.
