Services
The Office of the County Clerk performs a multitude of functions on behalf of the citizens of New Madrid County, including but not limited to:
- Administers elections and voter registration within New Madrid County
- Administers candidate filing for county offices and select political subdivisions
- Chief Budget Officer and oversees accounts payable in conjunction with the County Treasurer
- Administers payroll, benefits and human resources for county employees
- Clerk to the County Commission
- Clerk to the Board of Equalization
- Facilitates all insurance programs for the county
- Preparation of annual financial statement
- Management of the letting process for county projects
- Cooperates with the State Tax Commission, State Auditor and local political subdivisions during the taxy levy process
- Issues Notary Commissions as approved by the Secretary of State
